TAKAPUNA ORPHANAGE.
A very enjoyable entertainment in the shape of limelight views of the scenes of Xew Zealand and Transvaal war was given at the Orphanage at Takapuna last evening by Father Patterson, assisted by Mr Cooper. Bishop Lenihan made a very beautiful and eloquent speech to the orphans. Songs were sung by Father Patterson and Father Hills'and Mr Skerrett. Sisters Mary and Alphonsus entertained their visitors royally Father L'rodie was also present.
