OHINEMURI JOCKEY CLUBI'9 ANNUAL MEETING.
The first day's racing of the Ohinemurl Jockey Club's annual meeting took place on Saturday at Paeroa. There was a large attendance from goldfields districts and Waikato. Mr T. Lawless filled the position of judge, and Mr Geo. Cutts acted as starter. In the Steeplechase Woolman and Glenlock fell at the second fence. Neal, the rider of the latter, was badly hurt, and was attended by Dr. Smith. Mr C. F. Mark had charge of the totalisator, the tickets being 10/. Details:—

The stewards decided that the race be run oyer again. The owners of Repetition and Bob declined to start. In the B? Ohinemuri Cup of lOOsovs; second 15sova from the stake; 1_ mile.—469, Mr T. A. Williams' b g Admiral Hawke, by Nelson -Vendetta, Gyrs, 8.3 (D. White), 1; 198, Mr A. J. Edwards' Honesty, 8.0 (J. Stewart). 2; 221, Mr S. Caulton's Porangi Potae, i.2 (W. Satman), 3. Also started: 130, The Frenchman, 8.8 and 51b over (Pennell), and 52, SWiftfoot, 6.13 (Joe Pennell). A capital start was effected. Honesty jumped off in front, and led to the straight, where Admiral Hawke forged to the front and coming away he won in a very easy manner by three lengths, Porangi Potae being an indifferent third, and the others tailed off. Time, 2.394. Dividend, £1. Totalisator, 1070.
Paeroa Steeplechase of SOsovs; about 2* miles.-256. Mr Deeble's b h Stockman" pedigree unknown, 10.0 (Deeble) 1- 100 Mr Banks' Woolman, 10.0 (Gaddes), 2! Also started: 287, Voltigeur 11., 11:4 (F. Burns); 56. Glenlock. 9.7 (Neal). Woolman and Glenlock led to the second fence, where they fell. Woolman was re-mount-ed. Voltigeur H. was then left in the lead, but he refused at the seventh obstacle. Stockman, who jumped well throughout, then had the race to himself, winning as he liked from Woolman by 10 lengths. Neal, the rider of Glenlock, was badly hurt. No time taken. Dividend £1 11. Totalisator, 729.

Telephone led for Aye furlongs, when Cavalier took command and won by two lengths. Time, 1.18 4-ss. Dividend, 18/. Totalisator, 49C. St. Patrick's Handicap of 40sovs; 1\ miie —193, Mr P. Maxwell's, jun., Castroline, by Castor—Sapphira, Syrs, S.O (Berry), 1; 12, Mr G. W. Vercoe's Lobelia, aged, 7.12 (J. Stewart), 2; 60, Mr S. Caulton's b m Porangi Potae, Gyrs, 7.G (Whitehouse), 3.
