prietors of the "Graphic" have issued this week a special number of the journal, the chief feature of which will be'a series of magnificent plates ! illustrating- the departure of the Rough Eiders from Auckland. Last week's issue contained four photcI gravures of the departure of the • |Bough Eiders. Owing largely to these ! pictures the demand for the number - was extraordinary. On the day after publication not a copy was to be had, j and hundreds of people had to go , j without. As was anticipated, . the demand for it has been enormous. (The first edition published Wednesday ! morning was a specially large one, . and it was sold out by noon the same day.
