NEW FOUR-IN-HAND.
£502 FROM 125 TONS
The return from the New Four-mr Hand mine this month is again a satisfactory one, as the 125 tons, of ore treated yielded 1730z lldwts of melted bullion, which sold at £2 17/11 per ounce, making the output from a seven-stamp battery for the month tot up to .£502 9/7. The reef in the low level is shaping very well, the stone showing- fine gold. One good sign is that the or at the low level is now changing from the oxidised brown to blue colour, which is generally looked upon as a good indication for permanency. The trial crushing of six tons of quartz taken from the paddock on the Cuirassier section yielded soz of gold.
