KAURI FREEHOLD ESTATES.
£4,981 FROM 3,666 TONS.
The Kauri Freehold Gold Estates Company, Limited, cleaned up on the 14th. of February, for the first time this year. The quantity of ore treated was 3,666 tons, but in addition during the holidays wihile the stampers were hung up 406 tons of tailings from Lannigan's Old Mill were p\it through the vats. The value of the bullion won was £4,981. The ore cyanided during this period amounted to 2,563 tons, leaving 1,003 tons, ■which had to be run into the slimes pits for future treatment. The total output of the Kauri Freehold Gold Estates to date is £19,304 from 14,977 tons.
