INDUSTRIAL SCHOOL, MT. ALBERT.
The Government .recently purchased some buildings at Alt. Albert belonging to Mr -Wilkinson, and -as it was rumoured they were to be. used for an Industrial School, the Chairman of the local.Road Board (Mr J. Bouskill) felt •it his duty, in the interests of the district, to ascertain the intentions of the Government, in the matter. Alp Bouskill accordingly wrote to.the Department, and has received the following reply:—"l have to acknowledge the receipt of .your letter of ..the 13th. instant, and, in reply, to inform you that the buildings purchased by the Government at Mt. Albert, Auckland, are.to be used as an Industrial School for girls and young boys,- and are to x take the place of the buildings hitherto rented at Parnell."—Signed, George Hogben. Evidently it is intended to liriove the present Industrial School •from St. George's Bay, Parnell, tp Mt. Albert. .-. . ,
