THE WESTRALIA.
_. ne _>.s. >y esiraua arrived irom yyuney last night, anchoring in the stream at 9.30 o'clock. She was examined by Dr. Lewis, Health Ofticer, and was then berthed at the Queen-street wharf. Mr U. Sampson, purser, has been transferred to the Zealandia, his place on the Westralia being taken by Mr Roadknight, who was formerly in the West Australian trade. Of the voyage the purser report!:—The Westralia left Sydney at 5 p.m. on Wednesday last, and experienced strong N.E. winds until noon of the 16th, thence fine weather and smooth seas to arrival A concert was held in the social hall on the evening of the 17th, the chair being taken by Mr J. 11. Phillips. A good programme ol songs was rendered. At the close of the ' evening a very stirring speech was made by Capt. Hipgrave, and a collection was made in aid of the Patriotic Fund, the sum of £4 being collected from those present.
