Mr .Tames Ben net, the newly elected member for Tuapeka, is chairman of the ■County Council, having held that, position for the sixth year in succession. Mr Bcnnetis likewise a member •of the Tuapeka Licensing Committee, standing high, on the poll taken acouple of years ago. He rakes a warm interest Jn educational and other mat" fers.
