It is reported here, that as the, result of the scrutiny in Riccartou the Hon. Mr Rolteston' is defeated by four votes.
CHRISTCHURCH, this day.
Nothing authentic has' transpired with regard 'to the result of 'the recount of the votes in the Riccarton election, which is to 'be declared tomorrow after consideration erf further matters. It ,is rumoured,' however, t3iat the re-count has .given Mr Russell a majority of two.
