A meeting of master grocers was held last evening*, at the V.M.C.A. rooms at which there was a fair attendance. ..Mr H! ~M. Smeeton presided. The ineefing w*as held for the purpose of receiving the report of the Provisional Committee re the establishment of-a Grocers' Association". After this had been read and discussed the further" consideration of the matter was adjourned for one week. . ' '
The Rev. W. L. Salter lectures at the Union Free Baptist Church, Wellesleystreet, next Tuesday evening on "Norfolk Island," the romantic story of trie mutineers of the "Bounty," replete with .thrilling, interest and adventure. Np charge is made for admission to the lecture, and a.collection will be taken up in.aid.of the "Children's Home" in connection with the church.
