SHAREMAEKET.
Alphai shares firmed a little in price to-day on the Exchange, sales being made at 5/2 and -5/1, with further demand at 5/. Grace Darlings also advanced in price, being- sold at 2/5, With.buyers" left at 2/3. Slight advances were also registered in the buying prices of Moanataiari and Kuranui Caledonian shares* but. no sales resulted. Buyers came in again to-day for Mt. Lyells at £9, but no selling price was quoted. In standard stocks Auckland Gas shares were a little better, buyers advancing to £12 17/6 as against £12 15/ yesterday. Hikurangi Coal shares were in request at 8/, and Taupiri at 19/6, While; there 'were also buyers of both issues of N.Z. Drug at late rates.
