THE STEAMER WAIKATO.
OVERDUE AT PORT CHALMERS

WELLINGTON, Monday.
Some anxiety is felt on account of the long passage of the New Zealand Shipping .Company's cargo steamer Waikato, now 67 days out from London, direct to Port Chalmers.
She has not been reported since leaving London on May 4, and it is feared that she has broken down.
The whole of her cargo is consigned to Southern ports.
She has no passengers.
