A little better enquiry existed for stocks on the Exchange to-day, but generally at prices which did not meet holders ideas of values. May Queens were wanted at 6/9, and buyers came in 10-day for Moanataiaris at 2/6. Kuranui Caledonian, Tararu Creek, Albumin, and Victoria shares also had demand at late rates. Alpha shares sold at 4/9, at which figure more could have been placed. Talismans were enquired for at 13/, but were a shade easier. Waihi-Silver-tons still were wanted at 11/6, and buyers of Ohinemuri Syndicate shares advanced threepence.. Waihi Beach shares had enquiry at sixpence, and Morotiri Copper at iivepence. Barrier Reef shares were a little firmer, beingwanted at 4/1, but holders asked 5/. in Standard stocks Auckland Gns (old issue) showed an upward tendency, buyers offering £12 15/. and sellers rising from I'KJ to £13 5/. Other stocks showed no change.
