Tributcrs in the Irene mine, Kuaotunu crushed 192 tons of quartz for a return of. bullion valued at .G255. GREAT MERCURY. Tlie Groat Mercury C!ohl Mmmg1 Company at Kuaotunu treated during- the past month 20G tons of tailings left by the old Company, for a return of bullion valued at £178 12/(5. No quartz was crushed this month. MOROTIRI COPPER COMPANY. The Morotiri Copper Co. (Limited) was registered yesterday under the Act of 1894, for the purpose of developing the copper deposit on one of the Chicken group of islands. The number of shares is 100,000, at 6d. of which 75.000 are fully paid up. On the other 25,000 2d has been called. To-day these shares sold at Gd each, and are still in demand at 5d to 5M on the Exchange. Samples of copper ore showing shots of peacock blue were on view to-day at. the office of Mr D. G. MacdonnelJ.
