LACROSSE.
The first lacrosse game played in Auckland took place on Saturday afternoon, in the shave of a practice match under the auspices of the newly formed New Zealand Lacrosse Association. The match was played at Stichbury's Paddock, Epsom. Eric Broughton and A. P. Bradley captained the teams (twelve men aside), and Mr William Noton acted as referee. The game ended in a draw, each side scoring four goals. A. Major did all the scoring for the one team, while E. Noton, an ex-Yorkshire rep., was responsible for all the goals scored by the other side. A number of spectators watched the game with, interest.
