SUPPOSED DROWNING.

WELLINGTON, this day

Before the ship Ochtertyre, Captain Kenealy, was towed out on Saturday, a seaman named Forrester disappeared. It is alleged his object was to swim to Kaiwarra, a distance of half a mile. His clothes and some life belts are missing, but there is no trace of the man. It is supposed he was seized with cramp and was drowned. The police are investigating the matter.
