This company has called for tenders for driving the adit, level 100 feet. HAURAKI GOLDEN AGE. Mr Kwrsey Cooper who recently returned from London is to take charge of the Hauraki Golden Age Mine, better known locally as the Fame and Fortune, situated at Thames. GRACE DARLING. Mr Wynn, local representative of Messrs Towser and Jensen, who hold an option over the Grace Darling and adjacent properties ai Wnitekauri, will ifc is understood take over the mines at the expiry of the time, and upon the terms agreed. For some months past the holders of the option have been paying" the cost of development work, j some .£IOOO having1 ben expended. The properties included in the option are Grace Darling, 30 acres; Portsea, 15 acres; Prioress, 15 acres; Vendor, 15 acres;, and Pyramid, 15 acres. Under the terms agreed tipon the new company will consist of 240,000 shares at 10/,' with a working capital of £ 25,000, less the option money already expended. GREAT BARRIER. It is understood that Mr Sorrenson, the local representative of Melville's Corporation, has received a cable to the effect that the £20,000 working capital lias been provided by the option holders over the Great Barrier mine. WELCOME FIND. At a meeting of directors in this company held to-day 5555 shares were forfeited for, non-payment of calls. This leaves* 33,145 on the register.
