THE YEAR'S OUTPUT
OVER A QUARTER MILLION
When the December return from this mine was.announced* the fact was stated that there was still to be a final clean up for the year IS9S. This has now come to hand, and makes the toial output for the year well over a quarter million. During the period from December 10 to 2H, ::,TOl tons of quartz were treated for a return of bullion worth C! 1.879. This brings the total output for the year to £254,750 9/S, and the grand output since IS9O to £891,314 4/5. The increased output for 1898, as compared with the yield for IKO7. was €110,750 0/1. With the two batteries running full time, the Wai hi yield for 1599 should show stiil further increase, as there is no danger of the supply of ore running short.
