THE NUNDAH MYSTERY.
SENSATIONAL DEVELOPMENTS
BRISBANE. January 7
There, has been a sensational development in the Nundah mystery. The body of the lad Hill has been discovered, 200 yards from where the peny was found. A horrible stench attracted the search parties. The body, excepting the feet, which were covered with bushes, was in an advanced state of decomposition. There was a hole, supposed to have been made by a bullet, in the head. Pending the' arrival of a doctor, the police refuse to allow the remains to be disturbed. The boy Hill was the victim of an unnatural offence prior to his murder. A man wanted for a similar offence at Ipswich is stmspeeted of shooting the boy and horse.
It is suggested that there is a connection between the Nundah and the Gatton murders, but the police believe they are entirely distinct.
BRISBANE, this day
A post mortem examination showed that the bullet entered Hill's head just above the eyebrow, and emerged at the back. The suspected mail is believed to have left for one of the southern colonies. The police have evidence that he was in the vicinity of Nnndah at the time of the'tragedy.
