WAIKATO FATALITIES.
A MAOKI BURNED TO DEATH.

TE AWAMUTU, this day,
The inquest on the body of Joseph Nattrass, who died suddenly at Kihikihi on Monday, resulted in a verdict of death from long standing disease of the heart. Deceased had several letters on him dated to the 3rd of Jane anticipating an early death.
The Coroner, Mr Gresham, has just left for the King Country to hold an inquest on the body of a blind native who was burnt to death in his whare on Monday night. The remains had been buried, but have been exhumed for the purpose of the inquest.
