WELLINGTON, this dayi The Premier goes to Christchurch on Saturday next, and will address a public meeting at Akaroa on Monday evening. Hon. T. Thompson, Minister of Justice leaves for Auckland on Friday, and will probably be absent for about a week. ;:■:« It is rumoured here that a movement i» afoot in Dunedin to set up the Hon. J McKenzie as a candidate for Dunedin City at the next general election. _ Mr Arkle is mentioned as a probable canditlate for Waihemo, for which seat % Hon. McKenzie has declared his intention ' not to seek re election.
