The following appropriations were passed in Cabinet to-day : —Gisborne-Waikare-Moana Road, £500; Galatea Road, £500; cost of railway conveyance and expenses of the delegates to the Fire Brigades Conven. tion, £771 13s ; expenditure on Midland Railway construction; Springfield section £500 ; Greenland* improved farm, £250 • Poutikituna Road, £500 ; Paratie-TaihWa Road, £500 ; ■ Waikapiro Road, £250; Ohanga Gorge £500 ; subsidy to Technical School, Wellington, £1,500 ; protections the St. Clair Battery, Dunedin, £121; Otira section of the Midland Railway) £3,000 ; compensation to Cronin for retirement from Railway Department, £167.
