RACING NEWS.
The stewards of the Takapuna Jockey Club yesterday held a meeting for tho purpose of inquiry into the complaint lodged by tho jockey, Jellings, against Mr Dickey, owner of Donnorailo, for the manner in which he was treated by him when returning to the scale after tho running of the Welter Handicap at the Winter Meeting. The following resolution was carried:—"That the stewards are clearly of opinion that Donneraile was ridden out iv the Welter Handicap on Saturday, May 28th, and that L. Jellings is completely exonerated from any charge of pulling the horse." The stewards reprimanded Jellings for nsing improper language towards Mr Dickey in the weighing enclosure.
