The Waihi Mine

£12,475 FOR THE MONTH.

The return from this mine for the four weeks ending December 11th is highly satisfactory, the output of bullion being the largest but one this year. The quantity of ore treated during the four weeks was 3,480 tons, which yielded bullion valued at £12,475. The previous month 3,300 tons returned £11,353. The total output of bullion from this mine since 1890 was worth £631,069 17s 3d. It is worthy of special note that the output of bullion this year is larger than that for 1896, which totalled £137,321 8s 2d, whereas the 1897 output is worth £138,749 12s Id, and there is yet to be a final cleanup before the end of the year.

ANOTHER DIVIDEND DECLARED,

The lucky shareholders in this leading mine are to receive a Christmas box in the shape of another dividend of 2s per share, payable on December 10th. This makes the nineteenth dividend paid by the Waihi Company.
