MONTHLY SUMMARY.
Auckland, Thursday.
Business has remained steady during I the past month, the high prices being well maintained owing to the strong demand for the New York' market. Latterly East Coast came in a little more freely, but this did not reduce prices at all, as the demand was quite equal lo the supply, and piactically no stocks are held locally, as the free "buying of the past few months absorbed all the gum as it was sent in. Exports for the month are :—To London, per Anglian, 31 tons ; Waihora, 7 tons ; Itangatira, 5 tons ; and Star of New Zealand, 119 tons. To New York, via London, per Star of New Zealand, 7 tons. Supplies from mail to mail are about 578 tons. Poor ordinary £38 to £45 Fair ordinary £50 to £60 Good ordinary £65 to £75 Superior ordinary £75 to £84 East Coast £72 Best-raped £90 to £100 Good rescrapod £110 up
