THE HON. J. G. WARD.

(By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.)
WELLINGTON this day
A number of Mr J. G. Ward's friends in the South have subscribed to purchase for him the whole of his private estate, including the large warehouses stores at Invercargill," Gore, and Bluff. As the estate runs into many thousands of pounds, no greater proof could be given of his popularity. It is said the estate was purchased at five thousand over the judge's valuation.
