New Golden Point (Tapu).—Bull's reef above the intermediate level measures fully 15 inches in thickness and a iine class of country is being met with. This rise will open up a large block of ground directly opposite and underneath the old shaft. In carrying out this there is a probability of meeting with rich ore similar to that obtained in the higher levels. In the drive from the winze we have driven 8 feet. When breaking down the leaders gold was seen. These veins have become very small; we are therefore, confining operations to theriseahove theintermediatelevel.
Hauraki Main Lodes. —No. 1 crosscut has been advanced to IGI feet, No. 2 to 15 feet. No. 3 to 5 feet.
