THE AUCKLAND PRESBYTERY.
AN ALL-NIGHT SITTING
The members of the Auckland Presbytery sat in Committee at St. Andrew's Church, .from 8.30 last night until four o'clock this morning. It appears that the congregation worshipping at St. Andrew's Church have never agreed over their long standing trouble as to a call to a minister. A petition from certain members of the church was put before the Presbytery last night with a view to that body .settling all differences. The result was that about 20 witnesses gave evidence as to proceedings at calls given. We understand that the evidence taken is to bo placed before the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Churcli of New Zealand which sits here in February next, and that body is to be asked to oecide as to whether a previous call was conducted in a proper and regular manner.
