At tbe League Carnival, the championShip of Australasia for one mile was won by Walne, of Queensland ; Tebbutt, of Victoria, was second; Green, of England, third; and Forbes, of New Zealand, fourth. Time, 2min 29 3-ssec. Platt-Betts endeavoured to lower Lesnas five-mile record of 9min 59sec, but owing to an accident to this pacer he only covered the distance in lOmin 38sec.
