A PROPOSED POOL.
LONDON, October 30.
The holders of Queensland beef propose to arrange a temporary pool. Messrs Weddel and Company, Colonial Consignment Company, and Messrs Bert, Potter, and Bergyl have agreed that all beef stock afloat on November Ist shall he valued by independent valuers, the prices afterwards to be fixed periodically. The proceeds are to be divided in proportion to the value pooled. Several of the banks which are in tbe habit of haudling beef for clients approve of the scheme.
