THE FLYING JORDANS
The inclement weather of last evening did not interfere with the attendance at the performance of the Flying Jordan Company at the Harbour Board reclamation, there being a very large audience present. The entertainment was witnessed m comfort too, there being no dripping of rain through the fine tent, so well is it constructed. A partial change of programme was presented. The Mario Bros, repeated their horizontal bar feats with several additions, and as usual met with a most enthusiastic reception at the hands of the audience. The marvellous and daring wire act of Virginia Aragon was also gone through as on previous evenings. At the conclusion this prepossessing and gifted lady was loudly applauded. The variety items given were all new, the Hadjis also making their lirst appearance. Judging by the hearty laughter, this portion of the programme was much .appreciated. The performance concluded with the thrilling a>rial act of the live Flying Jordans, in which they introduced new and daring llights. Madame Jordan and her eldest daughter took part in these flights, and performed with great verve and grace. The same programme Mill be repeated tonight. A special children's matinee will be given by the Flying Jordans' Company tomorrow afternoon in the big white tent on the Harbour Board Reserve. So great was the demand for seats at the last matinee that the management;, in reply to many requests, decided to give two more matinees, one to-morrow afternoon and another on Saturday. Children will he admitted to all parts of the house lor sixpence. The complete programme will he given, including the renal nets of the Five Flying Jordans, the wire walking of Miss Virginia Aragon, and the horizontal Bar act of Mario and Mario. Lamont will make his great dive free from the pole in front of the Lents at two o'clock.
