AUCKLAND UNITED CRICKET CLUB
The annual meeting of the Auckland United Cricket Club Avas held last evening in the Metropolitan Hotel. Mr C. S. McKinney presided, and there Avas a good attendance of members. The annual report stated that the result of last season's play had been very gratifying, the senior team Avinning the championship Avith five matches played and one lost. The second and third elevens had also been fairly ( successful. The play had shoAvn mucli improvement in all departments. Regret Avas expressed in the report at the loss of Mr L. A. Cuff, Avho had captained the team last season. The balance - sheet shoAved a credit balance of £7 6s 3d. The folloAving officers Avere elected : — President, Mr A. C. Whitaker; Vice-President, Mr A. S. Meyers; Secretary, Mr A. Dunningham; Treasurer, Mr P. Hay; Committee, Messrs Stemson, Labatt, McCormick, Harvie and D. Hay; delegates to Association, Messrs Stemson and C. Hay. The election of captain was deferred, no | one being willing to take the position. The Selection Committee Avill be chosen by I the General Committee.
