(Before Mr H. W. Northcroft, S.M.) Alleged Larceny.— Uary Brown, alias Daniels, charged with the larceny of a silk umbrella, worth s&s. the property of P. A. Philips, was remanded till tomorrow, . Larrikifism. — Jeremiah. 0 Brien and Albert) Serle, rwo young men about 20 years of age, wore charged with having wantonly removed from its hinge* an iron gale, the property of Hugh GHmcre, Waaukau lload ; also, with having on December 27bb, ab Newmarket, maliciously injured the signboard of John K. Price. Similar informations had been laid against two other youths. One had nob been served, and the accused in the othor case had already been doalb with, The two accused present pleaded nob guilby. — The evidence showed that the four accused were together at midnight on December 27th, Rb Newmarket, amusing themselves by pulling down shutters, signboards and gates, and singing.—The two accused were ordered to pay a fine of 20* with coits £2 5s in the first case, and fine 20s costs 21a, and damages 12a 6d, in tno second. The alternative was fixed aba month's imprisonment, but tirao was given io which to pay the fines.
