The steamship Cul<;oa, which arrived in Sydney recently, had on board a couple of valuable thoroughbrod horses, purchased in England by the Now South Wales aportsmen, Hon. H. C. Dangar and Mr Mark Foy. M r Dangar's importation is the bay or brown home Positano, by Sc. Simon from Ponza, by Springfield from Napoli, by Macaroni from Sunshine, by Thormanby from Sunbeam, by Chanticleer, and will to put to stud dut.y at Neotsfield. He was raced in England last season, but; was nob Bucceauful. Tho horse imported by Mr Foy ia by Bendigo from Barley, by Barcaldine from Lonoly, by Hermit from Anonymn, by Sfeockwell from Mi«« Sarah, by Don John from Miss Tsrah, by Gladiator from Easter, by Brutondorf Jrom Charles XII."s dam, by Prime Minister. Barley was imported to Victoria »y Mr M. O'Shannaesy in 1891, and is the dam of O'Trigeer (by Trenton) and Carbinier (by Carbine). Mr Foy intends racing the son of Bendigo. Both horses were landed in good condition and forwarded to the quarantine station at Randwick, where *»ey will remain for tho usual term.
