The management of,this Karangahake property have decided to starb more vigorous work on their ground, with the object of opening ib up effectually, and for bhia purpose six men have been started to put in a lew level In order to cub the large lode intersected in the upper workings. In this upper level the cresscut will be discontinued at present, and the two men will be started driving along the courae of the reef to bhe north from bhe point of its intersection. These works will ar*d greatly bo bhe value of the property, and the only wonder is thab they were nob started sooner, instead of continuing the crosscut past the point where the golden lode was cub.
