Cambridge, Thursday.
The firsb meeb of the Waikato Hounds was held ab Bruntwood, tho rosidonco of bhe master, yesterday, when, notwithstanding the heavy rain, a fair day's sporb was had. The nexb meeb will be on Saturday. A meebing of tho Session and members of Trinity Presbyterian Church was hold here last evening, tho Rev. John Mac Donald presiding. It was unanimously decided to support a call in favour ot the Rev. Thomas Scott, M.A., of Tauranga, and the Presbytery will bo asked to tako tho necessary steps to comply wibh tho expressed wish of the members of tho church.
Yesterday there was a steady downpour all day, and thero is every indication tbab to-day will be showery.
