OUR VOLUNTEERS.
PONSONBY NAVAL ARTILLERY,
The members of tho Ponsonby Naval Arbillery Volunteer/Corps fired bhe final competition for Mr Teutenberg's medal on bhe Mounb Eden Range on Saturday last, the conditions being the same as in the first match, viz., seven shots standing ab 200 yards, and seven shots each ab 300 and 500 yards in any position. The principal scores were :—Petty Officer R. Carni.; 61;. Petty Officer J. Ewan, 60 ; Petty Officer D* Ness, 55 ; Gunner D. Bremner, 52 *, Gunner J. Down, 39; Gunner J. /Hill, 38; Petty Officer J. Leikis, 22; Bugler Tobman, 20. The aggregates for bhe bwo matches are :•— Petty Officer J. Ewan, 131 ; Gunner D. Bremner, 120; Petty Officer R. Carnie, 111 ; Pebby Officer D. Ness-, 106; Gunner J. Hill, 81; Gunner J. Down, 70 ; Pebby Officer J. Leikis, b9 ; Bugler Tobman, 49. A church parade of tho members of the Devonporb Torpedo Corpssvas held yesterday, the men, assembling ab 1.0.15 a.m. ab bhe Grey-sbreeb firebell, and marching up bo Sb. Sepulchre's Anglican Church. There was an excellenb musber, bhe parade being under the command of Lieutenant-Com-mander Parker, with Lieutenauts'Davis, Keefe and Thomas also presenb.'.
