PROPOSED ANNEXATION BY
NEW ZEALAND.

Wellington, this day. The Cabinet decision regarding the proposed annexation of Samoa by New Zealand, was cabled to the Imperial Government yesterday, and tho "Times" siatee it is probable that Sir Gaorge Grey, who is keenly alive fco the necessity for good Government in Samoa, and who advised KiDg Malieboa ab every stage of hia conflict with the arbitrary representatives of Germany, and has always been a firm believer in the idea that these islands must be ruled from New Zealand, will be asked to cake the matter up, of course, with the Agent-General's assistance, in Downingstreet.
