PARNELL ASSESSMENT COURT.
The adjourned sitting of the Parnell Assessment Courb bo hear objections to tho valuations was held this morning ab the Borough Council Office. Mr S. Y. Collins presided' as judge and Mr J. S. Duke, the valuer, was present to sustain hia valuations. Tho following objections were dealt wibh:—R. Walker, St. SbeDhen's Road and Avenue Road, bwo properties of £72 and £36 last year; reduced in one value to £108 as before. Frederick Worthington, Ley bourne-street, £28 bo £21 : agreed to. Caleb Wood, wood building, Bedford-street, £46; sustained. Caleb "Wood, Cracofc - sbreeb, £115, bix dwellings and sbablo; reduced to £119. Reader Wood, Brighbon Road, 14 acres and building, let ab 10s per week, also a cobtage £4, and owner's dwelling and gardens, etc., valued ab £100, total value, £203; reduced to £150. A. L. Wright, Selwyn Terrace; reduced from £36 bo £3^. J. B. Stoney (for trustees of Orphan Home), valued at £140 ; reduced to £125. Lady Hobson's estate. Mr T. Buddie appeared. Two houses and shop and dwellings, Manukau Road, £7S ; reduced to £70. Lady Hobson's estate, allotment, Manukau Road, £16; sustained. Lady Hobson's estate, shop and dwelling, Manukau Road, £25; sustained. Lady Hobson Estate, Manukau Road and Hobsoa Park Crescent, valued ab £70, lots 26, 27 und 28; sustained.' Lady Hobson's estabe, valuation of 3 buildings and land, £190, Hobson Park Crescent; reduced to £170. Mrs Street, 3 houses, stable, etc.. 6 acres of land, valued at £300. Mr Thorne gave evidence and stated buildings were valued at £2,000, and 10 acres at £-50 per acre— £2,500 or £4,500 in all; reduced to £250. General Chinch Trust, change ot name from Sb. Mary's Parish; agreed bo. General Church Trusb, Bishop's Court, etc., building and land, Manukau Road and Sb. Stephen's Avenue, valued ab £200; reduced to £175. General Trust Board, Cathedral site, 5_ acres, valued £195; sustained. General Trust Board, alteration of name to Parnell Borough Council; agreed to. St. Stephen's trusb, valued at £40, name changed to 'General Trust Board ; sustained. General Trust Board land, Sb, Stephen's Road, buildings, etc., £'42 ; reduced to £40. GenerarTrust Board, St. Stephen's School buildings and land, £220 ; reduced to £'210. Alexander Cow, Manukau Road, Parnell, shop and dwelling, Manukau Road, £21; reduced to £18. John Edwin Davies ; no appearance. James Richards, Windsor Lane, two buildings valued ab £21; reduced to £20. R. A. Adlington, Greystreet, house and 100, £19; sustained. Richard Forgie, three buildings, Russell Lane, value £28; reduced to £26. Richard Forgie, Bath and York streets, informal; sustained. John Pee, Stratfordstreet, valued £6 ; name altered to James Pee. William Killip, Brighton Road, allotment, changed to Joseph Killip, valued £8 ; reduced to £4. This concluded the bueiness.
