THE H.A.C.B. SOCIETY.

(To the Editor.)

Sir.—l am sorry to again trespass on your valuable space, bub " Cosmopolibe's " reply in to-uighfc's issue to my lasb letter compels me to do so. "Cosmopolite" may have read my lebter, but if ho did, it was in a very off-hand manner, or otherwise he would have ommibbed as unnecessary the paragraph in his reply referring to my nob being a Hibernian, as I acknowledged I was nob one. By whab I can gather from " Cosmopolite's " lebter, bis only reason For replyiug ab all was to attack me on the point bf being uncharitable to Mr Beeban. Whilst admitbing my letter seemed rather uncharitablo, 1 must say I had no intention of being so, but only wished to point out bhat if tho proposal Mr Beeban set forth was to become a rule of the Society, the " Hibernian Australasian Catholic Benefib Society " could nob exieb. I even showed this in my last letter, bub " Cosmopolite " chooses to ignore that argument, and evaded itbysotbingforbh thab delegates can alter rules of a society (granted they can), bub I say again they cannot do co in this case without abolishing bhe Socioty entirely. Until " Cosmopolite" can refute this argument I intend to reply to no further correspondence.

-I am, etc., VV. Williams. "WeUtngton-street, March 10, 1594.
