The Auckland members of the Sb. John Ambulance Erigade mustered for drill ab the Auckland Drill-shed last evening, the officer*'of the brigade* presenb being Surgeon Major Dawson and Messrs Twentyman and Pobter- The brigade was pub bhrough stretcher exercises outside the shed, Iby moonlight. A number of the members will attend tho Easter encampment it Auckland volunteers. A mieting of the Auckland members of the Nqfval and Milibary Associabion of New Zealajad, and of all who bad taken parb in the Waikato and other wars in New Zealand/was to have been held last evening ab Roblon's Rooms, in order to adopt an address of greeting and friendship bo Rewi j^arjga Maniapobo, the famous Maori chieftain, who is now believed to be dying ab hia home in the Waikato. The meeting, however, had to be postponed owing to the small attendance. Ib was decided to readvertise the gathering for another evening at the samo place.
