UNDEFENDED CASES.

In the following undefended cases judg" menb was given for bhe plaintiff's :—Auckland Hospital and Charitable Aid Board v. Thos. Colebridge, £1168; Stone Brobhers and Co. v. John S. Denb, £5 7s 8d; E. Porter and Co. v. William Brady, £50 14s Id; Auckland Ciby Council v. Marbha Poberson, £13 9s 6d; dibto v. Edward Downing, £6 2s Gd ; ditto v. Thos. B. Kenderdine, £2 ls 3d; W. Earle v. James Davidson, 15s; Samuel Marks v. Nesbitt, £1 5; Joseph James Craig v. William Wilson, £50. DEFENDED CASE. John Robinson v. Henry Lees.—This was a rather peculia case, in w*hich tha plaintiff claimed £54 for two mares being stinted by a worthless Maori entire in a paddock belonging to defendant.—Mr Cooper appeared for the plaintiff and Mr C. Buddie for the defendant.—ln opening the caso Mr Cooper explained than on tho 12th June last plaintiff took bwo fillies bo defendant, who was a horse and cabtle dealerr, and arranged with him to graze the two for la 6d each per week. Both fillies wera thoroughbreds, their sires being, respectively, the well-known racing horses Brigadier and King Cole (also the sire of Nelson). During their stay in the paddock, defendant took a Maori stallion into tha same paddock, and, as a resulb, both fillies became in foal. The sballion being a weed, the value of tha mares had been seriously affected, as ib was a law ef nabure bhat all foals gob a bhrow-back on bhe first stallion. Especially so was this in the case of thoroughbred mares.
