TO-MORROW'S CALEDONIAN SPORTS.
The Caledonian Sports which are to beheld at Lake Takapuna to-morrow (Good Friday) give every promise of being a great success. A long prograramo of events has boon arranged, including dancing and bagpipe competitions, and foot races for amateur and professional runners. Numerous entries have been received for the dancing events from all the country.includingoneof tho champion dancers of Now Zealand. There is also to bo a wrestling contest between two well-known athletes, in which great interest is being taken, as well as in the running eventp. Prizes are tobegivenfor the best-dressed Highlander and Highland lassie, for which it is expected there will be great competition. Steamers will leave the ferry tee at 9, 10.30, and 11.30, the two later boats calling at Victoria Wharf, for the convenience of the North Shore residents. There will also bo a later boat at 2 o'clock in tho afternoon. All competitors in Highland costume are requested by advertisement elsewhere to meet at the Grey-street fire boll at 5.30 eharp.
