STEAMSHIP MAMARI IN COLLISION.
HER BOWS STOVE IN AND CARGO PARTLY DAMAGED.
A London cablegram of yesterday's date states thab tho Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company's steamship Mamari has arrived from Auckland with her bows stove in by collision and a portion of her cargo damaged. No further particulars are given. Tho Mamari, which is a fino ocean-going cargo-steamer of about 4,000 tons,arrived at this port from London via the South on October 30 last, under command of Captain Maxwell, this being her second visit to this port. She discharged cargs here and loft for Southern porta on November 4th,taking tho following cargo shipped at this port for London :— 4 casks casings. 50 bales woo), 152 packages butter, 41 cases cheese, 1,034 carcases frozen mutton, 491 carcases lamb, 492 quarters beef, 1,262 cases kauri gum, 000 <_cks copra, 37 cases poarl shell. She proceeded hence to Napier, Wellington, and Lyttelton, and took her departure from the latter port bound (or London via Rio on Novembor 2G.
