The final heat of the City Rowing Club trial lives was rowed oil'on Monday evening in which threo crews competed, R. White's, A. Bailey's, and H. Bailey's, and proved a very exciting contest, H. Bailey's eventually winning by a length from A. Bailey's. The names of the winning crew were • 11. Bailey, stroke ; W. Bailey. No. 4 • H. Fielder, No. 3 ; R. Endcan, No. 2 ; b' Ivil No. 1 ; and E. Bailey, steer oar. Waitematu'and St. Georgo's Clubs kindly lent their boats for the occasion.
