ATHLETIC CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING.

■ Wellington, this day. In the tost races for the Now Zealand Amateur Championship Meeting yesterday, Batger won tho Hurdles easily, and also the Long Jump with 20 feeb 7 inches. Gurr won tho 100 yards and half-mile. These two will probably represent Wellington, along with R. Gore for the Hurdles and High Jumo. THE AUCKLAND TESTS. In athletic circles a deal of interest is being taken in the forthcoming New Zealand Championship Meeting, to be held at Christchurch. The test races bo decide the Auckland representatives take place this and to-morrow afternoon in the Domain, commencing at half-pasb 4 o'clock.
