DEVONPORT PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.
The annual soiree and public mooting in connection with tho Devonporb Presbyterian Ghurch was held last evening, the Rev. James Hill presiding. The annual reports, which were read and adopted, were of a mo*fc satisfactory character, and the balance-sheot showed a credit of £13 16s Bd. The following gentlemen were elected to form, with the four elders, the Committee for tho ensuing l year:—Messrs M. Mur-chie, R. Mitchell, S. C. Macky, P. j Oliphant, Deverell, A. Watson, J. F. j Logan, and J. Budge. Votes of thanks wero accorded the treasurer (Mr J. C. Macky), the secretary (Mr R. Mitchell), the organist (Mr J. F. Bennett), tho choir and other olliccrs of the church. It was announced that for the future servico on Sunday would bo commenced with the Dosology, and that the congregation would be expected to join in tho repetition of the Lord a Prayer before tho sermon. The church choir contributed a good musical programme, Miss Gelstoti contributing "Ora Pro Nobis,'' and Mr C. E. Pa_et " Tho Man' of War " and " The Mariner." Proceedings wore brought to a close with the singing of tho Doxolo_y.
