CORRESPONDENCE
ALBERT-STREET BATHS,
(To the Editor.)
Sib,—Now that the City Council have fenced in the refuse depot adjoining the Albert-street Baths, I would suggest that they tar at least six feet of the footpath between Cook-street and Wellesley street, so that people may reach the Baths with some degree of cleanliness. I was a constant patron of the baths last summer, and the quantity of mud and scoria that was carried inside on people's feet during wet weather was amazing, and quite enough oi itself to provoke tho " peatsoup" discussion that was then in full swing in the papers. The approach from Cook-street was at times simpiy filthy, and no one with any pretensions to cleanliness would toierato such a dirty approach to their private'place. I would also recommend that two footscrapers be procured and placed on each side of the entrance to the baths. Fix thetn permanently, or tho larrikins will be apt to carry them off. The cost of all this if done in this dry weather will be a trifle, and it will be a boon to those who try to keep the baths clean, to those who use them, and to Wandering Wilms,
