LATE SPORTING.
To-day Swiftsure and First Nelson were struck out of the Great Northern Foal Stakes.
The committee of the Auckland Racing Club to-day removed the disqualification from the jockeys Smith, Golding and Priest.
Through a slip of the pen an error occurred in the report of the meeting of Tattersall's Club. The ballot to reduce the present tariff charged to licensed bookmakers ended in 25 voting for the proposal and 24 against.
