THE CZARS TRAIN.
AN OLD OCCURRENCE
REVIVED.
St. Petersburg, October 19. It is rumoured that an arrest has been made in connection with the fatal accident which occurred to the Czar's train on the Borki and Kharkoff Railway, in October, 1888. The train ran off the rail while travelling at a rate of 42 miles an hour, a large number of attendants and officials being either killed or injured. The Imperial family had a marvellous escape. At first the accideut was said to be the work of Nihilists, but it was afterwards attributed to the high speed of the train travelling over rotten sleepers. As an outcome of the arrest it is expected that some important disclosures will be made regarding the cause of the accident:
